Three Arches

Three Arches was made while I was at a workshop in Mexico. Because the substrate needed to be light for portability, I used wedi board. First I made a “cartoon” of my image. This was a pencil drawing on a large sheet of paper that I transferred to the wedi board. Once the drawing was on the board I was able to start gluing the teserae picked for my project. As challenges arose I wrote notes on the cartoon for changes, color combinations, and texture combinations I wanted.
